Maple Leafs News: A significant achievement as a renowned figure has confirmed his decision to join the Maple Leafs within the next 48 hours…….

An insider suggests that a high-paid forward for the Maple Leafs, valued at $65 million, is expected to make a return.

NHL insider Chris Johnston anticipates that Mitch Marner, the forward for the Toronto Maple Leafs, will remain with the team for the 2024-25 NHL season.

Marner has been the subject of trade speculation since Toronto’s playoff elimination, entering the final year of his seven-year, $65.4 million contract signed in 2019. Despite ongoing trade discussions, no deal has materialized, and Johnston expects Marner to continue with Toronto.

“I would say Mitch Marner is more likely than not to stay with the team. We’ll see how things progress over time. I think they are content with Mitch Marner returning if that’s how it plays out, depending on interest or a trade scenario that makes sense,” Johnston commented on The Chris Johnston Show.

According to Johnston, Toronto is comfortable with Marner returning for the upcoming season and fulfilling the final year of his contract, despite persistent trade rumors.

Last season, Marner accumulated 85 points from 26 goals and 59 assists in 69 regular-season games with Toronto.
