Each week this season, Love Rugby League will present our Power Rankings, which assess the top 10 clubs in British rugby based on their current momentum. The rankings encompass all 35 clubs across Super League, the Championship, and League 1, focusing solely on their on-field performances (no off-field factors considered).

Below is our latest top 10 ranking for the season, considering all competitive matches played to date.
Super League clubs’ rankings reflect their performances across 16 rounds and the Challenge Cup.
The Championship and League 1 seasons started in March, with clubs in these divisions having already played matches in the 1895 Cup and Challenge Cup earlier this year.
KR hold onto their place in the top 10 despite a narrow 15-14 home defeat to Catalans Dragons in Golden Point extra time. Despite rallying from a 14-0 deficit to extend the game beyond regulation, this loss has seemed imminent in recent weeks for the Robins. Their first defeat in five matches doesn’t fully capture their recent form, in our assessment.

9. Oldham (DOWN 5)
Oldham experienced the most significant drop in this week’s rankings, although it’s not due to any fault of their own. The Roughyeds were not in action over the weekend but have won their last four matches and an impressive 11 out of 12 in League 1 this season. Head coach Sean Long is likely satisfied with results elsewhere over the weekend, as we will discuss shortly.
8. Sheffield Eagles (-)
Sheffield maintains their second place in the Championship and eighth in our rankings after a commanding 28-0 victory at home against Halifax Panthers on Friday night. Following their defeat in the 1895 Cup final, the Eagles have now secured four consecutive wins, with Friday’s performance being the most dominant in this streak.
