Willie Isa

Wigan Warriors have been the standout team in the Super League this season. Sitting four points clear at the top of the table with just two losses, they also have a game in hand over their rivals.

Willie Isa, 35, has been with Wigan since 2016 and has surpassed 200 career appearances for the club. During his tenure, he has secured three Super League titles, one Challenge Cup, two World Club Challenges, and two League Leaders’ Shields. Isa is considered one of the club’s most dependable overseas players, and his recent performances indicate he can still perform at a high level. His future with the club remains uncertain, with the decision likely to be left to him at the conclusion of the campaign.

Mike Cooper

Cooper, who will turn 36 by the season’s end, is nearing the conclusion of a distinguished career. His current contract with Wigan expires at the end of the season, and it remains uncertain whether the club sees him continuing beyond that. Joining Wigan in July 2022, he signed an extension through the end of the 2024 season last year. Similar to Isa, Cooper’s future may hinge largely on his own feelings as the season progresses toward its conclusion.

Since joining the club in 2023, Hampshire has been a peripheral figure, featuring in only five matches this season. Despite limited playing time, the 29-year-old has managed to score three tries, including two against Castleford Tigers in April. Hampshire offers Wigan flexibility and depth as needed, but it’s uncertain whether there will be a place for him in the Warriors’ squad heading into the next season.

Jacob Douglas

Douglas recently made his debut for the Warriors in a first-team match against Warrington last month. He was also part of the squad when Wigan faced London Broncos a couple of weeks ago. As a result, the winger is still in the early stages of his career, and Wigan has the possibility to extend his contract by another year if they choose to do so. Douglas will be eager to demonstrate his value and secure his place at the Brick Community Stadium for the remainder of the season.
