CAITLIN CLARK SELECTED AS NO. 1 OVERALL PICK IN WNBA DRAFT
New York, NY – The Indiana Fever made history on draft night, selecting Iowa Hawkeyes’ superstar Caitlin Clark as the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA draft. Clark, a dominant force in college basketball, is expected to bring her exceptional scoring ability and playmaking skills to the professional level.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Fever organization,” Clark said in a statement. “I’m ready to work hard and contribute to the team’s success.”
Clark’s selection marks a new era for the Fever, who are looking to rebuild and contend for a championship. “Caitlin is a generational talent, and we’re excited to have her lead our team,” said Fever General Manager, Lin Dunn.
Clark’s impressive college stats, including her record-breaking scoring average and MVP awards, made her the clear top choice for the Fever. She is expected to make an immediate impact in the league and be a contender for Rookie of the Year honors.
The Fever will open their season on May 20th, with Clark expected to make her debut against the Chicago Sky.
