BEARS CB JAYLON JOHNSON ‘TIRED’ OF UPSIDE, DEMANDS RESULTS

Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson expressed frustration with his performance, saying he’s “tired” of being considered a player with upside and wants to deliver results.

“It’s about action at this point,” Johnson said after Friday’s training camp practice. “I’m tired of being that guy who’s always ‘almost there.’ I want to be the guy who makes plays and helps my team win.

Johnson, entering his fourth season, has shown flashes of brilliance but has yet to consistently live up to his draft billing. He’s working with new defensive coordinator Alan Williams to refine his technique and take his game to the next level.

“I’m focused on being more consistent and making plays when it matters most,” Johnson said. “I’m not worried about what people say about me; I’m worried about what I can do to help this team succeed.

Bears head coach Matt Eberflus praised Johnson’s work ethic and dedication, saying, “Jaylon’s putting in the work, and we’re excited to see him take the next step.

Johnson’s determination to deliver results could be a key factor in the Bears’ defensive success this season.
