IPSWICH TOWN TEAMMATES, LEE EVANS AND WES BURNS, PLAY DOWN TENSION AFTER HEATED EXCHANGE
Ipswich, England – Ipswich Town teammates, Lee Evans and Wes Burns, have downplayed a heated exchange between the two players during a training session at Portman Road.
Eyewitnesses reported that Evans and Burns were involved in a verbal altercation, but both players have since played down the incident.
“It was just a misunderstanding, we’ve cleared the air and moved on,” said Evans. “We’re focused on the upcoming match against Oxford United.
Burns added, “We’re both passionate about the team’s success, and sometimes that passion boils over. But we’re teammates and friends, and we’ll always work through our differences.
Ipswich Town manager, Kieran McKenna, has also weighed in on the incident, saying, “Lee and Wes are both competitive players who want the best for the team. I’m not concerned about the incident, and we’re moving forward.”
