CLIFF DANIELS TO TAKE THE WHEEL: CREW CHIEF TO REPLACE KYLE LARSON IN INDY 500 NEXT YEAR
In a shocking move, Hendrick Motorsports announced that Cliff Daniels, Kyle Larson’s crew chief, will replace Larson behind the wheel for the Indy 500 next year.
Daniels, a seasoned crew chief with a wealth of experience, has been instrumental in Larson’s success on the track. However, he has always harbored a passion for driving and will now get his chance to compete in the iconic Indy 500.
“I’m thrilled to have this opportunity, Daniels said. “I’ve always dreamed of racing in the Indy 500, and I’m grateful to Hendrick Motorsports for believing in me.
Larson, who has been open about his struggles in the Indy 500, expressed his support for Daniels.
Cliff has been an incredible crew chief, and I have no doubt he’ll excel as a driver,” Larson said. “I’m looking forward to cheering him on from the sidelines.
The move marks a bold new direction for Hendrick Motorsports, as they seek to shake up their Indy 500 strategy.
