JAI FIELD SET TO RETURN FOR WIGAN WARRIORS
Wigan Warriors coach Matt Peet has confirmed that full-back Jai Field is on track to return from injury in the next couple of weeks. Field has been sidelined with a hamstring issue since the Warriors’ Round 16 clash with Leigh Leopards, but is expected to be back in contention for the upcoming Super League match against Hull FC.
“Jai is progressing well and we’re hoping to have him back in the next fortnight,” Peet said. “He’s been working hard in rehab and we’re looking forward to having him back in the squad.
Field’s return will be a significant boost for Wigan, who have been struggling with injuries in recent weeks. The Australian full-back has been a key player for the Warriors this season, scoring several crucial tries and providing a attacking threat from the back.
“We’ve missed Jai’s pace and energy in the team,” Peet added. “But we’re confident that he’ll be back to his best soon and helping us push for a play-off spot.
