INDIANA FEVER GUARD KELSEY MITCHELL NAMED WNBA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell has been named the WNBA Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced today. Mitchell averaged 23.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game over the past week, leading the Fever to a 2-1 record.

Mitchell’s standout performance included a career-high 37 points in a win over the Las Vegas Aces on July 22. She also became the fastest player in Fever history to reach 1,000 career points, achieving the milestone in just 63 games.

Kelsey’s incredible talent and work ethic make her a threat every time she steps on the court,” said Fever Head Coach Christie Sides. “We’re proud of her accomplishments and look forward to seeing her continued growth.

The Fever are currently in sixth place in the WNBA standings, just a game out of a playoff spot. Mitchell’s strong play has been a key factor in the team’s success, and she continues to be a leader on and off the court.

This is Mitchell’s third WNBA Player of the Week award in her career. She will look to continue her hot streak as the Fever face the Chicago Sky on July 30.
