SAM POWELL COMMITS TO WIGAN WARRIORS WITH TWO-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION

Wigan Warriors hooker, Sam Powell, has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2026.

Powell, 30, has been a key player for the Warriors since joining in 2016, making over 150 appearances and scoring 25 tries.

“I’m delighted to extend my stay at Wigan,” said Powell. “It’s a great club with a rich history, and I feel privileged to be a part of it.

Powell’s extension is a boost for the Warriors, who are looking to build on their recent success.

Sam is a vital player for us,” said Wigan Warriors Head Coach, Shaun Wane. “He’s a talented hooker with a great work ethic, and we’re thrilled to have him on board for another two years.

The news comes as the Warriors prepare for the 2024 season, with Powell set to play a key role in the team’s campaign.

I’m looking forward to the new season, said Powell. “We’ve got a strong squad and I’m confident we can achieve great things.
