Utoikamanu joins the Storm; Talagi and Tevaga are on the move.
The Melbourne Storm have secured representative prop Stefano Utoikamanu on a three-year deal that will keep him
with the team through the 2027 season.
Utoikamanu, who informed Wests Tigers officials earlier this week of his departure, made his Origin debut for New
South Wales last year and also played for Samoa in the Pacific Championships.
A product of Parramatta’s junior system, he has spent the past four seasons playing for them.

utilized a release clause in his contract, and the Storm were one of the teams vying for his talent.
“Stefano is a dynamic young forward and a remarkable individual,” said Storm GM of football Frank Ponissi.
“We’re confident he’ll bring a strong work ethic and be prepared for a rigorous pre-season when he joins us later this
year. We’re thrilled to welcome Stefano and his family to the club.”
Parramatta’s bid to keep promising young talent Blaize Talagi has been unsuccessful, as the outside back is set to
leave the club.
Keeping the 19-year-old was a key focus for new coach Jason Ryles after Talagi chose not to exercise his option to
stay and decided to explore other opportunities.
Several competing teams have shown interest in the fullback, and the Eels have confirmed in a statement that he has
notified the club of his decision to depart at the end of the season.
“The club extended a very compelling offer to Blaize, outlined a clear path for his future in football, and consistently
communicated to him and his family that we wanted him to remain with us long-term,” said CEO Jim Sarantinos in
the statement.
“Although we are disappointed, especially considering the opportunities we provided him, we wish him all the best in
his future endeavors.”
In other news, veteran forward Jazz Tevaga will be leaving the Warriors at the end of the season.
The forward, whose contract is expiring, will depart after spending nine seasons with the club in the NRL.
The 28-year-old is set to play his 134th game in the Round 22 match against Parramatta on Friday night at Go Media
Stadium.
