Jaxon Nelson commits to the Boston Bruins of the NHL.

(Dakota News Now) – BOSTON, MALast Thursday, on his birthday, Jaxon Nelson scored the game-winning goals for Minnesota. On Saturday, at the Denny, he scored the first goal in the Region Championship.

I really couldn’t have created a better script. However, the Gophers’ college career came to an end when they lost against Boston University and Sam Stevens.

The Luverne native’s hockey career was not ended, though, as #24 this morning inked a deal with my Boston Bruins. It was accurate for Bob Motzko to predict that Jaxon would become a professional hockey player.

The young player who, had he not chosen to play his final two seasons in the USHL and with the Stampede, would have likely been Minnesota’s all-time top scorer, will take his skills to.
