Trent Robinson Puts Rumors to Rest: Sydney Roosters Staff to Remain Unchanged.

Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has put an end to speculation
surrounding his coaching staff, confirming that there will be no changes next
season ¹. Despite the team’s struggles and the loss of key personnel, Robinson
remains committed to his current staff.
Robinson addressed the rumors head-on, stating that he is unaware of any
discussions regarding staff changes. He also clarified that club legend Jake
Friend, who has been touted as a potential addition to the coaching staff, is
still unsure if he wants to continue in a coaching role.
The Roosters have had a tumultuous season, with injuries and inconsistent
form threatening their chances of making the NRL finals. However, Robinson remains resolute in his support for his staff, saying, “All of my staff that are here this year will be here next year – that’s pretty clear.”
Robinson’s contract extension until the end of 2028 has also put to rest any doubts about his own future with the club. His five-year deal, worth an estimated $1.4 million per season, makes him one of the highest-paid coaches in the NRL.
The Roosters’ faithful will be relieved to hear that Robinson is committed to his staff, as the team looks to rebound from a disappointing season. With a strong squad and a cohesive coaching unit, the Tricolours are poised to make a deep playoff run in 2025.
Robinson’s leadership and loyalty have earned him widespread respect within the rugby league community. As the Roosters look to reclaim their spot among the NRL’s elite, their coach remains the steady hand guiding them forward.
