The 2025 Wigan Warriors first team roster consists of 33 players, giving the Grand Slam champions plenty of
depth on the field.
George Hirst, a teenage back-rower from League 1 winners Oldham, is the only new addition the Warriors have
made ahead of the upcoming season after enjoying an unprecedented quadruple of titles the previous season.
The Cherry and Whites have signed some of their important players to long-term contracts, including Junior
Nsemba, Brad O’Neill, Liam Marshall, and Bevan French, to mention a few. While Wigan has been relatively
quiet when it comes to recruitment, they have been active when it comes to retention.
Additionally, a large number of young players from the club’s renowned academy program have been promoted
to Matt Peet’s first squad.

The Warriors are well stocked for fullback options should star man Field pick up an injury or suspension at some
stage during the season. Young gun Hodkinson is highly thought.
With England international Wardle and goalkeeper Keighran, Wigan has one of the best center combinations in
the Super League. You can bet your bottom dollar that those two will start for Peet’s team if healthy and
available, but they have the highly regarded Eckersley vying for a position in the 17. After rising through the
club’s development systems, young player Lowe is also someone to keep an eye on as he gets ready for his first
season in a full-time setting.
Jack Farrimond, Harry Smith, and Bevan French Smith, a French and England international and an Australian
superstar, was one of the Super League’s greatest half-back pairings last season. In 2025, they want to continue
where they left off, but Farrimond, a promising possibility, is also in the wings. Farrimond.
Liam Farrell, Willie Isa, Sam Walters, Lukas Mason, George Hirst, Junior Nsemba
After being a sensation in 2024, towering forward Nsemba was awarded a long-term contract. He will once more
form a powerful back-row tandem with captain Farrell after being assigned the No. 11 shirt for 2025. Isa, a
seasoned forward, will start his tenth season with the Warriors, and Walters, whether he starts or comes off the
