**Rocky Ford, CO -** A local man with a history of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) has crashed into a family’s home, leaving a trail of destruction and raising questions about the legal system. The incident has brought into question the severity of consequences for repeat offenders.
Freddy Estrada Jr. was involved in a car crash last Friday night at around 10:30 pm, crashing into a family’s house. The crash, according to the family, resulted in significant damage to their property and took the life of their dog. The family’s home sustained two garage-sized holes.
“He went over a 4ft ditch, through 2 fences, a tree, 2 walls, and killed our dog. Displaced my family. We patched the house, 2 garage size holes. Luckily he didn’t kill my brother,” said the homeowner.

“He has had 6 DUI’s, 4 crashes under the influence, and what do you get? A slap on the wrist and sent free,” said the homeowner. “He went over a 4ft ditch, through 2 fences, a tree, 2 walls, and killed our dog. Displaced my family.”
The police say that Estrada Jr. was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. He was later released. “And what does Freddy get? A couple nights in the hospital and goes home to his family. His home with no holes, no missing family members,” said the homeowner.
The legal system seems to be letting this happen. The family feels the legal system is not holding him accountable. “It took Carol with the City of Rocky Ford to get him arrested today, and he bailed out in 2 hours, when he crashed into our house last Friday night 02/07 at 1030pm.05,” said the homeowner.
The family is frustrated with the legal system. They say that it is not fair that Estrada Jr. can get away with so many DUI’s and crashes.
“How many DUI’s and crashes can you get into before you go behind bars?” asked the homeowner.
The police have not yet released any information on whether Estrada Jr. will face any charges for this incident.
