It’s called rookie mistakes for a reason. We knew this wasn’t going to be a flawless ride. But let me tell you something—this season wasn’t about perfection. It was about progress, resilience, and proving everybody wrong. And man, did we do that.
When the season started, nobody had the Packers circled on their playoff brackets. People counted us out before we even had a chance to prove ourselves. A young quarterback, a fresh roster, a team finding its identity—it wasn’t supposed to go anywhere. But we did. We went further than anyone thought possible. And we didn’t just show up, we showed out.
Going up against the number-one seed? Most folks thought we’d be steamrolled. But what happened? We had the 49ers SWEATING. You could feel the tension from the sidelines to the living rooms across the country. For a good chunk of that game, we looked like the team to beat. Our energy, our confidence, our drive—it was all on display. And yeah, we made a few mistakes. Some plays didn’t go our way. But that’s football. That’s growth. Those so-called “rookie mistakes”? They’re how champions are made. You don’t learn unless you take those hits, both literal and metaphorical.

So, yeah, we made some rookie mistakes. But give these rookies another year. Give this team time to gel, to grow, to build off what we’ve done. We’re not going anywhere.
