The couple’s private, yet supportive bond seems to be a crucial part of Sinner’s ability to navigate the ups and downs of a highly public tennis career.

Jannik Sinner has opened up about his relationship with girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya, revealing that

despite the whirlwind events of his 2024 season, including his US Open and Australian Open

victories, he believes staying true to himself is key to making the relationship work.

In a recent interview, the Italian tennis star stressed that while dating Kalinskaya, he hasn’t changed

either as a player or a person. “Having a girlfriend is something that either makes you feel good or

makes you feel bad,” he said. “I want it to be something that feels very natural… I can’t afford to

change, and that’s why it works.”

Sinner, who has faced challenges this year—including being involved in a doping case under

investigation by the Court of Arbitration for Sport—has leaned on his support system, including

Kalinskaya and his coach, Darren Cahill. Though the couple has remained private, their connection

was evident when Kalinskaya cheered from the stands after Sinner’s dominant US Open final win.

Despite some controversy surrounding ex-boyfriend Nick Kyrgios’ dismissive comments about

Kalinskaya on social media, Sinner remains focused on the positive aspects of his relationship,

stressing that staying grounded is vital for both his personal life and career. The couple’s private, yet

supportive bond seems to be a crucial part of Sinner’s ability to navigate the ups and downs of a

highly public tennis career.
