Widnes Vikings have bolstered their squad with the signing of former Wigan Warriors youngster Adam Jones, who
has joined the Championship club on a one-year deal. The 21-year-old outside back, who has struggled with a long-
term knee injury, is eager to revive his career and make an impact following his move from the Warriors.
Jones, who has previously gained first-team experience at York Knights, Cornwall, and Rochdale Hornets, failed to
break into Wigan’s senior squad during his time with the club. However, after a challenging year spent sidelined by
injury, the promising talent is determined to bounce back and prove his potential with the Vikings.
“I’m really excited to have signed with such a great club with lots of history,” Jones said after completing his move.
“After speaking to Allan (Coleman), it felt like the perfect move for me to develop my game and challenge myself in
the Championship.”
With a strong work ethic and a burning desire to succeed, Jones is focused on adding competition for places in
Widnes’ squad, which impressed last season by reaching the playoffs. His determination to help the team push for
further success was a key factor in his decision to join.
