WIGAN WARRIORS MOURN LOSS OF TOMMY LEULUAI’S FATHER
Wigan, England – The Wigan Warriors are in mourning following the passing of Aku Leuluai, father of former Wigan player Tommy Leuluai.
Aku, a well-known figure in the rugby league community, was a talented player in his own right and had a profound influence on Tommy’s career.
“The Wigan Warriors are deeply saddened to hear of Aku’s passing,” said Wigan Chairman, Ian Lenagan. “Our thoughts are with Tommy and the entire Leuluai family during this difficult time.”
Tommy, who played for Wigan from 2007 to 2017, paid tribute to his father, saying: “Dad was my hero and mentor. He taught me everything I know about rugby league and life. I’ll miss him dearly.
The Wigan Warriors will hold a minute’s silence before their next match to honor Aku’s memory.
