KYLE LARSON EDGES OUT CHASE ELLIOTT AND DENNY HAMLIN FOR THRILLING WIN AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Bristol, TN – Kyle Larson took home the checkered flag at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night, narrowly beating out Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin in a heart-stopping finish.
Larson, driving the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, led for 202 laps and held off a late charge from Elliott and Hamlin to secure his third win of the season.
“That was a wild race,” Larson said in Victory Lane. “Chase and Denny were right on my bumper, but my team gave me a great car and I was able to hold them off.”
Elliott, who finished second, praised Larson’s driving skills, saying: “Kyle was unbelievable tonight. He deserved the win.”
Hamlin, who finished third, added: “It was a great race, but I came up just a little short. Congratulations to Kyle and his team.”
