IPSWICH TOWN AND BLACKBURN ROVERS REACH AGREEMENT OVER SAMMIE SZMODICS TRANSFER
Ipswich Town and Blackburn Rovers have finally concluded a deal for the transfer of Ireland forward Sammie Szmodics, bringing an end to weeks of protracted negotiations.
The two clubs have agreed on a fee believed to be in the region of £4.5 million, with Szmodics signing a four-year contract with Blackburn.

Szmodics, who scored 33 goals for Ipswich last season, expressed his excitement about joining Blackburn.

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna praised Szmodics’ contributions to the club.
“Sammie has been an excellent player for us, and we wish him all the best at Blackburn,” McKenna said.
The transfer marks a significant boost for Blackburn ahead of the new Championship season, which kicks off in two weeks.
