Bulut verifies that Derby has made an offer for Cardiff’s Adams.

Adams, aged 28, was absent from Cardiff City’s 1-0 friendly loss to Kidderminster Harriers on Wednesday, and Bulut acknowledged that his absence was linked to the potential transfer.

The Gambian international spent 17 games on loan at Derby last season, contributing to their promotion from League One to the Championship.

“As far as I’m aware, Derby County has made an offer, but nothing is confirmed yet, so as of now, Ebou Adams remains a Cardiff City player,” said Bulut.

“We opted not to risk him [against Kidderminster] because we’re nearing a deal, but in football, you never know. Deals might fall through, and so we chose not to play him today. Tomorrow is another day, and anything can happen.”

Meanwhile, Cardiff are anticipated to finalize the acquisition of QPR winger Chris Willock on Thursday.

“We’re in negotiations and nearing completion with a few players. I believe it will take another day or two to bring some players in,” added Bulut.

“We’re close with three players and hopeful to finalize deals in the coming days.

“With Willock, we’ve been interested since last January. We’ve had discussions and pursued several players, including Willock.

“I think he possesses qualities our wingers lacked last season – one-on-one ability and directness towards goal to score.

“I anticipate Willock will enhance our attacking play, create more chances, and score goals.

“Last season at QPR, he recorded four goals and four assists.

“Considering his performance over the last three or four seasons at QPR, he’s been impressive.

“At 26 years old, it’s a prime age where we expect even more from him compared to what he demonstrated last season.”
